Much of what I shoot, however, are ambient and stage-lit nightclub scenes that demand all the sensitivity I can squeeze out of the camera. grading latitude)įor well-lit daytime shots, Lumix GH cameras produce gorgeous crisp still and motion picture images, and if that was all I needed, I'd be fine with a hacked GH2. I love the look and lack of moire produced by the Panasonics, but in three important areas, they cannot compete with Nikon: I'm pretty well known in the Panasonic hacking community and have used Lumix GH1 and GH2 cameras extensively, as well as Nikon D5100, D5200, and D800 cameras, for both video and photo work. I am just new at this and really do not like the noise the D3200 gives in low light and I am looking to do everything I can to improve my quality in ISO 3200+. I am so sorry if these questions are super newbish or annoying to anyone. Would you say that the D5200/D5300 stock quality is still better than a T5i with ML?
Will this firmware allow me to shoot RAW video with either of those cameras I mentioned? Also, the T5i gives pretty poor video performance in comparison to the D5200/D5300, especially in the dynamic range and low light situations. So I guess I have a few easy to answer questions. The ONLY thing that is holding me back is the whole Magic Lantern thing but I really DO NOT want to switch over to Canon but given how much quality is increased shooting RAW video, it is something I am considering.
With that said, I am currently looking to upgrade my Nikon D3200 to the D5200 or D5300 especially since I saw the video quality be comparable to a 5D Mark III. I love how they look, I love how they perform and I even love their branded lenses. I appreciate so much that people like you all actually care enough to share your work so we can benefit from amazing generosity.Īnyway, my question is probably really dumb and simple but I have to ask.
It still amazes me what people like you all can do when it comes to reverse engineering code and coming up with ways to improve other people's experiences. I have HUGE respect for ANY ONE who is working on this. First, I want to thank the hard working developers that are trying to make this happen.
